Many health insurance plans cover acupuncture. However, coverage varies by each policy. Our clinic can verify your acupuncture insurance benefits on your behalf. Patients may also contact their insurance company directly to confirm coverage.

If your insurance does not include acupuncture coverage, we welcome self-pay (cash) patients. To make it more affordable, we also offer package options for multiple treatments to provide you an on-going and more cost effective therapy.

Yes, acupuncture can be an effective and safe treatment for children, as long as they are comfortable with the process. Many parents today prefer natural therapies and wish to limit the use of allergy or pain medications for their kids. Acupuncture offers a gentle, drug-free alternative that can address a wide range of conditions including seasonal allergy.
At our clinic, we have extensive experience in caring for children and adolescents. Our goal is to help them to feel comfortable, safe and even enjoy their sessions- so they can benefit from acupuncture without fear.

The number of treatments depends on each patient’s condition, including factors such as duration, severity, and age. Acute conditions may require only a few sessions, while chronic conditions may need ongoing care over a longer period. However, many patients experience improvement -or even resolution of their symptoms- after a series of 5 to 10 treatments.

While the idea of needles might sound painful, acupuncture uses ultra-fine, hair-thin —sterile —needles that cause little to no discomfort. In fact, the insertion is generally painless.
At our clinic, with many years of experience, most patients hardly feel the needles at all—and in some cases, they don’t even realize the needle has been inserted. Many people find acupuncture to be deeply relaxing, and it is common for patients to fall asleep during treatment.

While modern Western medicine has yet to fully explain how acupuncture works, it is based on the ancient Chinese theory of Qi (vital energy) flowing through pathways called meridians, which are believed to run throughout the body much like the nervous or circulatory systems. Recent studies have shown that these meridians closely resemble the pathways of the nervous system, and scientific research has confirmed that stimulating specific acupuncture points activate neurons in the brain.
Through this mechanism, acupuncture helps regulate the flow of Qi—supplementing areas where it is deficient and releasing it where it is blocked or excessive.
This rebalancing of internal energy supports the body in restoring its optimal biological rhythm and overall balance.
