What We Treat
Insomnia & Anxiety
Acupuncture improves body system by promoting Qi and blood circulation. In Chinese medicine, illness arises when the body's natural resistance weakens, and internal balance is disrupted—particularly the balance between Yin and Yang. Health is viewed as more than just the absence of disease. It is a state where the body and mind are in harmony, allowing a person to live daily life with ease and vitality.
Sleep disorders like insomnia are very common in modern society and it makes it hard to fall asleep, stay asleep, or get quality rest. Doctors recommend that most adults need 7 or more hours of sleep, but nearly half of older adults don’t get enough due to stress, overthinking, menopause or aging, etc. Poor sleep can lead to daytime tiredness, low energy, and health problems and can affect overall health
Good quality sleep is essential for physical and mental health because it allows the body to go through four important sleep stages, including light sleep, deep sleep, and REM sleep. During deep sleep, the body repairs muscles, promotes tissue growth, releases growth hormones, and increases blood flow to support healing. This stage also helps remove waste from the body. REM sleep plays a vital role in brain function—boosting memory, learning ability, and problem-solving skills. Without enough deep and REM sleep, both the body and mind can struggle to function at their best.
Acupuncture is a natural, drug-free therapy that supports sleep disorders as well as emotional health by calming the nervous system, improving blood circulation, and balancing hormones. It effectively reduces stress, anxiety, and emotional tension, while also helping with insomnia and sleep disorder, depression, and PTSD.
By targeting specific acupuncture points, this treatment promotes relaxation, mental clarity, and overall emotional balance. Acupuncture treatment focuses on restoring this balance and strengthening the body’s natural healing ability, including its immune system.
We also offer lifestyle coaching to help with sleep patterns.
